Analytics (Google Analytics)

You can measure page views and popular pages on your public site with Google Analytics. Just register your Google Analytics measurement ID, and the tracking tag is added to your public site.

Available on the Solo, Team and Enterprise plans

Not available on the Free plan. For pricing, see Pricing plans.

Find your measurement ID

  1. In Google Analytics, create a property for your public site (you can use an existing property).
  2. Open the web stream under "Admin" → "Data streams" and copy the measurement ID (a string starting with G-).

For the web stream URL, enter your public site's URL (https://{subdomain}.monjiro.io or your custom domain).

Register the measurement ID

  1. In the editor, open the "Document" tab in the right panel.
  2. In the "Google Analytics" field, enter the measurement ID (for example, G-XXXXXXXXXX) and click "Save".

The registered measurement ID takes effect immediately, without publishing. To stop measuring, click ✕ to remove it.

What is measured

  • Views of the public site and navigation between pages within it are measured.
  • The editor's preview and AI chats embedded in other sites are not measured.
  • For documents with access restrictions, only views by people allowed to view are measured.
  • If you change to the Free plan, nothing is measured even if a measurement ID is registered.

To check that measurement works, open your public site and look at the "Realtime" report in Google Analytics.

Let your readers know

When you use Google Analytics, information such as the URLs of pages readers view is sent to Google. If needed, let readers know that you use Google Analytics, for example in the privacy policy of the site you run.
