Quick start
This page walks you through five steps, from signing up for Monjiro to publishing your first document so that readers can ask questions in the AI chat. For the details of each step, see the linked pages.
Step 1: Create an account
- You will receive an email with a temporary password at the address you entered.
- Enter a new password (8 or more characters) twice and click "Set and sign in". Your document list opens.
For details, see Create an account.
Step 2: Create a document
- In the document list, click "New document".
- Enter a title and click "Create".
- Click the card of the document you created, then click "Edit" on the dashboard. The editor opens.
Step 3: Write pages
- In the page list on the left, hover over the page you want as the parent and click the "+" that appears. An "Untitled page" is added as a child page.
- Enter the page title in the title field above the content.
- Write the content. Type "/" on an empty line to choose and add blocks such as headings, images and tables.
The first page (the page with the same name as the document) becomes the top of the public site. Your edits are saved automatically, but readers do not see them until you publish.
For details, see Create a document and Available blocks.
Step 4: Check it in the preview
Click "Preview" at the top right of the editor to check the working content as it will look when published.
In the AI chat at the bottom right of the preview, you can try asking questions about the document before publishing it. Questions asked in the preview do not count toward your monthly AI answers.
Step 5: Publish
- In the editor, click "Publish" at the bottom of the "Document" tab in the right panel.
- Select "Publish as a new version" and click "Publish".
- Open the URL shown under "Public URL" in the right panel to see your public site.
A newly created document has the AI chat enabled by default. Once you publish, the AI chat appears at the bottom right of the public site, and readers can ask questions about the document.
For details, see Publish a document and AI chat.
