Pricing plans

Monjiro has four plans, from Free, which you can try at no cost, to Team for working as a team and Enterprise, arranged individually. Solo and Team include slots for two documents, and you can add slots as needed. All prices include tax.

Choose how AI is used

On paid plans, you can choose between two ways of using the AI chat. How AI is used is chosen per organization.

• With AI: Answers use AI provided by Monjiro. You do not need to provide an API key. It costs ¥1,000/month per document slot and includes 1,000 AI answers per month (shared across all of the organization's documents).
• BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): Answers use the API key of your own AI service (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google). AI usage is billed directly by your AI service, and there is no limit on the number of answers. For details, see BYOK (bring your own API key).

Public sites on the Free plan show "Powered by Monjiro" in the footer and below the AI chat.

Monthly price breakdown

The Free plan (free of charge, 1 document, 100 AI answers/month) and the Enterprise plan (custom quote) are not covered by this structure.

The monthly price for Solo and Team is the sum of the following.

The number of document slots is the two included in the plan plus any slots you add. Archived documents do not count toward your slots.

Examples

Add document slots

On Solo and Team, you can add document slots to create more documents. Slots cannot be added on Free.

1. Open "Plan" in the organization settings.
2. Under "Extra slots" in "Change plan", use "＋" and "−" to set the number of slots. The new monthly price is shown.
3. Click "Change", review the details, and click "Confirm change".

• When you add slots: They are available from that day. The prorated fee for the rest of this month is charged to your registered card right away. If the payment fails, nothing is changed.
• When you remove slots: Slots decrease from that day. The difference for the rest of this month is deducted from your next bill.
• How many you can remove: Down to the number your current documents (excluding archived ones) need. To go lower, first archive documents you no longer use.

Extra AI answers (buy more AI answers)

On Solo and Team With AI, you can buy additional AI answers on top of your monthly AI answers.

1. Open "Plan" in the organization settings.
2. Under "Buy extra AI answers", choose the number of answers and click "Buy".
3. Complete the payment on the checkout screen.

• Checking the balance: "Extra AI answers" under "Plan" in the organization settings shows the remaining count and the earliest expiration date.
• Expiration notice: 30 days before expiration, the organization's Owner is notified by email if any answers remain.
• If you change to BYOK: The remaining answers carry over until they expire. They are not used while on BYOK because there is no limit on answers, and you can use them again when you switch back to With AI.
• Receipts: An invoice (receipt) is issued for each purchase and can be viewed from "Manage billing" in the organization settings.

Change or cancel your plan

Only the organization's Owner can subscribe to, change or cancel a plan.

• Subscribe: Under "Plan" in the organization settings, choose how AI is used and click "Subscribe" for the plan. Document slots can be added after subscribing.
• Change the plan or how AI is used: Under "Change plan" in the organization settings, choose the plan (Solo or Team) and how AI is used (With AI or BYOK), and click "Change". If the monthly price goes up, the prorated difference is charged right away; if it goes down, the difference is deducted from your next bill.
• Changing from Team to Solo: Solo allows only one user. Remove members first.
• Cancel: Cancel from "Manage billing" in the organization settings. After canceling, you can keep using your current plan until the end of the period you have paid for. When the period ends, you return to the Free plan.

When you return to the Free plan, you have one document slot. Documents over the limit are archived automatically, starting with the most recently created (they are kept, not deleted, and can be restored when a slot is free). For details, see Archive a document.

If a payment fails

If the monthly fee cannot be paid, the following happens.

1. The organization's Owner is notified by email that the payment failed. "Payment failed" also appears under "Plan" in the organization settings.
2. The payment service (Stripe) retries the payment several times over a number of days. In the meantime, you can keep using your current plan.
3. Once the payment succeeds, for example after you change your card in "Manage billing" in the organization settings, you can continue as before.
4. If every payment attempt fails, the plan is canceled and you return to the Free plan. Documents over the limit are archived automatically, starting with the most recently created.
